Welcome to the Transition Data Foundation

The Transition Data Foundation (TDF) is independent, community-governed infrastructure for ESG data.

TDF is an independent not-for-profit organisation. Its purpose is to create the infrastructure and ancillary services to enhance the ESG performance of every member it serves.

TDF addresses a structural gap: the ESG data landscape is fragmented, commercially siloed, and prohibitively expensive for smaller organisations. Data that is legally required to flow through supply chains and regulatory processes is locked in proprietary databases, restricting both compliance and innovation.

TDF is the independent alternative: technically capable, institutionally credible, and governed by the communities it serves.

The project is currently supported by Clean Market and Eevery. We are now gathering wider support, establishing the legal structure, and collecting input from potential stakeholders to finalise the concept.

This is a collaborative effort, and it needs to be shaped by the people who will come to rely on it. We are actively seeking feedback from organisations of every type and size, and across every geography - and we are committed to ensuring that input is genuinely reflected in what TDF becomes.
